And So We Prepare.

I know I've mentioned this before on my blog, but we live in a part of the country that sometimes deals with severe weather.  I will say, the spring months and their unpredictability are still far outweighed by warm fall days, winter dustings of snow, and lots and lots of year round vitamin D.

But today this is hard to remember.

We are smack dab in the middle of a severe storm threat with the possibility of hail, strong winds, and tornadoes.  While The Wizard of Oz is a cute movie, no one wants to be Dorothy in real life.  We are gearing up for a long afternoon of watching weather updates on TV, stocking the bathroom with pillows and blankets, gathering up important papers we don't want scattered all over the county, and lots of praying.  It isn't fun, but we make the best of it.  I am hopeful that things will fizzle out as they sometimes do, and we can all have a good laugh over the panic.  But it isn't looking like that will happen today...

Sometimes the best you can do in life is pray and prepare, so that is what we're doing.

Here's hoping we don't spend too much time huddled in the bathtub!

Glad all is well now. That must be so scary!
