Announcing...

I know it has been a long, drawn out silence here for far too long.  But this time I have a really, really good reason.

It's a long story, and one of these days I will try to tell it as thoroughly as possible.

But here's the short version.

We've adopted a daughter!

(Take a minute of you need to.)

Her name is Alina Ruta, and she is a gift straight from the hand of God Himself.  She is 13 years old, from Latvia, and a joy and delight to her new family.   I promise to blog much more about how this came about, the trip, and life as a new family of five.

But here's what you really want to see:

We hosted Alina through New Horizons For Children this past Christmas. We are so thrilled and praising our Father for placing her in your beautiful family, Ann! He has answered not only ours, but obviously yours, and many, many other's prayers for this precious girl. My husband and I are looking forward to reading your story of how Alina came to you! We will pray for a quick and easy adjustment for all of you as you settle into being a family of 5!
