A Beautiful Day for a Hike

Today was unseasonably cool for us in the south. Usually in August you can count on air so think you have to chew it to get oxygen, but today's high was a mere 78 degrees with no humidity. If this is global warming, bring it on Al Gore!

My friend Aly (rock star!) and I decided to take our kids for a hike. It was too nice a day to waste on much else! We headed out to the local state park and enjoyed one of the nicest days I can remember this side of the Mason-Dixon line. The park circles around a beautiful lake, there were covered bridges, tree covered trails, wild turkey, and lots of deer! The campground has been closed for renovations, so the deer have had the run of the land for quite awhile. Aly and I and our six kids would come meandering around a turn and see deer right there looking at us like we were on display!

It was just amazing!

Here are some pictures of our hike.
