I know it has been a long, drawn out silence here for far too long. But this time I have a really, really good reason.
It's a long story, and one of these days I will try to tell it as thoroughly as possible.

We've adopted a daughter!

Her name is Alina Ruta, and she is a gift straight from the hand of God Himself. She is 13 years old, from Latvia, and a joy and delight to her new family. I promise to blog much more about how this came about, the trip, and life as a new family of five.
