It's been quiet on the blog lately because we have all been recovering from Cal's console surgery. Although he is the one who went under the knife, we all have had to recover! Things went just like the doctor said they would - days 3, 7, and 8 were nightmares. But now, on day 11 all is looking better!
So onto the newest news!
This morning we received a phone call we weren't expecting for another month...at the earliest! Our adoption agency received the referral letter to us concerning Inessa! I had to ask, re-ask, and then triple check what that means. It means once we accept the referral (which we already did - thank heavens for email!), and the Ministry of Welfare receives the certified, apostilled copy of the last of our paperwork (should arrive to them Tuesday), we can receive an invitation to travel!!! We could potentially be traveling to Latvia in 4-6 weeks!!!
This is much sooner than we had anticipated, and of course, there are many factors that can affect the time frame, but right now we are basking in our referral glow!
