I am heading to the library in a few minutes, and I am looking for some good books to read. Reading has become one of my favorite pastimes (kind of by default, but still...) and I am looking for some fascinating literature to read. I am out of ideas myself. I like both fiction and non-fiction so pretty much anything goes!
And here is my book recommendation for you. One of my new favorite books is called "God at Ground Zero". It is by Chaplain Ray Giunta, a crisis chaplain who headed to New York City shortly after the 9/11 attacks to work alongside and minister to the workers at the World Trade Center. It is the story of his life, his time at Ground Zero, and what ministry in the middle of a terrible crisis looks like. It is intense and sweet and sad, and it changed forever how I think about "ministry".
So, there is my recommendation. What about you?

And I never read the Left Behind series because they looked dorky. Dorky this is not.
And you know I know dorky.
"The Tipping Point" an interesting view of economic theory (it's much better than it sounds, and you can read the back cover if you are in the library). "Blink" is also good--same author.
"The Time Traveler's Wife" which is a love story between a librarian and an artist, both fairly realistic characters (with a bit of time travel thrown in to make the story more fun).
"An Incomplete Education" - all kinds of good basic knowledge that you should have learned and probably didn't..easy-to-read and witty.
And the book that everyone MUST read..."Roll of Thunder, Hear My Cry" by Mildred D. Taylor. Once you read this, you will crave the rest of her books.
